Guest Post: OOTD- Lace Love

Well, lace has long been a part of fashion and it's history. From past few months whether it's a statement bag, blouse, dresses or even in evening gown, lace has surely caught our attention in someway or the other. 

I got this blue lace dress from Forever New, back in Australia, and took it to flaunt finally. This asymmetrical dress with quater sleeves highlights the waist line with the satin belt and compliments my curves. The inner lining reveals just enough skin which makes it sensual and feminine at the same time. 

It's a versatile dress and could be styled in so many ways, like by adding a different color belt, a blazer, statement jewellery, pumps pearls. One dress can give you so many chic looks because there are no rules to flaunt this beautiful lace dress.

OOTD POST: Sheer Love

 I know how hard it is to style sheer outfits, you need to be really smart playing 'Peek a boo' while styling them *__^ . So, what better than an outfit styling post for some sheer inspiration and comeback to my favorite outfit posts on the blog, rite??

For this post, I collaborated with a talented young photographer, Jay Trivedi (I'll link his profile in the credits). Honestly, this post was more of an experiment, as sunlight was dying and we could only shoot for a couple of minutes; sounds totally random, rite? But the result ain't that disappointing. I hope!

So, if you guys  find this outfit styling post helpful, do shower some love upon us. My little photographer and I would really appreciate that. More specific details of the outfits would be available at the end of this picture heavy post. Merci!

I styled this sheer shirt, that hides just enough and at the right place *__^, which was a thrift find with a Mango skinny pants, D&A strap sandals, Accessorize bag in tan, Forever21 India accessories and Aldo watch.

Bombay it is.. ( read Mumbai) : OOTD Post

From last one month I have been lazying around in Bombay ( read Mumbai ).. meeting old and new friends and family..So that's what kept me busy during my little blgging-break.. What about y'all??

Bombay has a more relaxed and casual vibe unlike Delhi..that's what i feel.. after weeks of sporting jegging and tee I decided to dress up a bit.. Like I said a bit.. *__^  .

That's how this OOTD turned out.. take a look..How I MISS my backyard and the grey wall here.. aahh..!!

I am wearing : I wanted to feel Comfortable and look Chic at the same time..because right after attending a fashion show I had work backstage for my College's Show..( Read  HERE ) So I mixed comfort and style together.. instead of heels and clutch ,I opted for Loafers and a convertible Tote-Sling Bag .. paired it with a dull grey dress.. and because it was a fashion show , a Classic Black Blazer for that Formal touch.. and colourful accessories to Brighten the Look *__* and I absolutely LOVE what my Girlfriends are wearing !!

Wearing Tri-Color Bangles is one tradition my Mother and I follow like some Holy Ritual.. Every year for Republic Day and Independence Day.. Both of these days are no less than a Festival in our family..Both my Grandfathers , cousins , uncles have been serving Police and other Armed Forces..I guess this contributed a lot to it.. Like every year..this year too all my relatives came over to spend the rest of the day at our place..That includes flying kites, non-stop Booz and Food.. Its like a House-Party on Terrace.. I managed to click a few shots before heading up at Terrace..

When last Saturday I went to pick up the Winning Prize from "W for Woman Store "(see HERE if you don't know what I am talking about) , I thought of clicking few shots..

 BLACK not Color of the Season ..Bu  I don't care about it as long as I like it.. I am not a kind of person who would wear  anything that's "IN Fashion" . I follow my own Heart because I Dress for Myself and Not for anyone else.. I do incorporate new Trends in my style( only if I Like them).. But I don't go overboard and Follow them Blindly.. and I suggest this to all my readers that .. "Everything is not for everybody.. We all have different Body-types and Styles.. and Embrace what you have got"

I am " Gypsy at Heart ". . and I'd classify my style as " Boho Chic " and I never go overboard with New Trends .. I stick to my personal style  and play around with the trends .. That's how you never go wrong.. and here is what they said..

Confession .. Fashion Week ..meeting Akshita and The Big Announcement..!!

Wills India Fashion Week
I am sure last week you have read , heard enough about the "Will India Fashion Week " in the Capital.. So I am not going to do any trend alert or fashion forecast here..we all have read and seen that enough on Blogsphere and T.V . This post is all about my experience at the Fashion Week..

I am not whining here ..but when u r studying Fashion you expect your college to atleast know about Fashion Week or other Fashion Events.. n I am not going to take its name here..but yes that how it is.. So..I had to ask a friend to get Me a pass.. and fortunately I got one for the " Hi5 " on Day 2 .. its a show where 5 budding designers showcase a few outfits from their collection..

Day 2
As I sat near the Head-Ramp excited to see which one of them is the one who'll dress Lady Gaga next ..I realized .. there was only 1 designer "Shantanu Singh " out of those 5 .. whose collection I though was different and of the level of the Fashion Week and clothes did justice to the theme " Penguins ".. and the show stopper walked with a Globe in her hand.... left Me with goosebumps ..
Others were good too but their work looked inspired or similar to what I have seen already.. :/

After the show ..fortunately I got the chance to interact with Him.. He seemed like a really Nice Guy.. down to earth.. simple..creative.. and a Man of few words.. coz His Work speaks a lot about his Talent..and I told him.."I see a Lady Gaga wearing your clothes someday.. " (dill se..) congratulated him for the show..and left to discover and absorb the whole atmosphere full of Fashion..

In the evening I read a Tweet of a fellow Blogger Akshita from  "Colorific"  about fashion week.. This  made me curious ..as I thought I saw her sitting on the other side of the ramp ..so a few Tweets and Dms later we met on Day 3

I am wearing a Zara Blouse( last worn Here)and Belt ,Jeggings,Black and white structured sling bag, and Aldo flats..

I stacked my wrist with bracelet ,bangles and watches..

Akshita Jain.. she comes across as someone very simple and down to earth ..that is just a Disguise .. She is quiet a Diva in her own ways.. we spent nice 3 hours..chatting about everything but Fashion Week and didn't even bother to attend a show together.. we were talking like long-lost friends .. and I was like " that's another one from the Species.. "

She told me ..how she dreamt of getting 10 bags on her Birthday ..by the way she actually managed to get them in real.. *-^  and how she managing a professional life.. a website , a Fashion Blog , Fashion Week  and her Best-Friends Wedding all at the same time..

My Republic Day Confession..

Apart from the morning ritual of watching - Republic Day Parade..Mom and I share this family ritual of wearing tri-color glass Bangles through out the day.. we are absolutely superstitious about the Tri-Color.. 

I Believe  we Desis ( we Indian's are Globally know with this name) have an edge over other when it comes to Fashion.. I love experimenting with both the styles.. coz Indian Body-types cant be described in sizes..  like a UK size -6 need not be an Indian size - 6.. we have bottoms heavy..  

For a Day look-  the White Zara Blosue wid Bishop selves would be my pic with my all time favorite Pepe Jeans Jeggings..  Orange Wedge heels that i picked up recently from Zara( my current favorite ..) stacked up bracelets / bangles in tri- color and gold.. and nude lips..wid just a tinch of lip balm.. and orange eye-shadow & Blush to finish the look.. 

For a Nite Look-  I love the Green  Blazer Gifted by my Uncle . I'll again combine it with the White Zara Tunic and Jeggings, Orange Zara wedge heels -- and keep it simple with accessories( no blings) I love thin chains.. i love to wear all of them together....dragging all the attention to my pout with the latest Orange lip-color from Inglot..n  keeping the rest of the make up neutral..will give make it a perfect Cocktail look..

 Apart from the regular Tri- Color tattoo .. I really like the painting my nails in Green, white and Orange.. a dash of tri- color on the eyes with a liner pencil or eye-shadow.. 

  

A Tip To Keep--Just keep it simple , chic and you.. coz the day is about feeling special of your own identity.. of your own self.. and I just love what Coco Chanel said once " I don't do Fashion .. I am Fashion"
