Holiday Greetings

Happy Holidays!

When we( Surbhi and I) were shooting for this post, I had very little idea that I'll share it now. And rite now seems like the perfect time, during this time of the year everyone is the festive mood, everyday is a celebration and there is a party at every nook and corner. But I don't need a party to celebrate, I can have just as much fun over a glass of wine with a friend. In these pictures I am just doing that.

This shoot wasn't planned, so the outfit is quiet simple, understated and relaxed. I wore this to a spa session, and just before heading out Surbhi and I did this impromptu shoot on her terrace. While I was sipping white wine, she was behind the lens, capturing moments. Isn't she an amazing photographer? I love her aesthetic sense and understanding of composition.

Anyway, are we in the mood to celebrate? Because I totally am..Do share your plans for this holiday season, I'd love to know *__*

#LikeMotherLikedaughter

"Like One"
Like One, like the other,
Like Daughter,
Like Mother.

This is not another fashion post, but I am sure a lot of you would relate, so though of sharing..
lately, I have been majorly focusing on interesting insights on Indian and Global fashion scene on the blog. This got me thinking that it's the best time take a U-turn, back to the real essence of the blog because I miss sharing my personal fashion posts/OOTDs, tips and tricks from my closet, so here I am..

For all the young girls their mothers are their first fashion-icon, I have preached my mom growing-up for her amazing sense of personal style and fashion choices. And I also believe that mom's closet is the best rescue when in doubt. I always go back to my mom's closet each time there is a family wedding or a traditional affair. She is a typical Sikhni and prefers traditional salwar-kameez over a sari, but that changed recently. People who have been following this blog from it's initial days know how I raid my mom's closet for her traditional outfits.(Read Here)

Recently, when I had to attend a couple of weddings, I went back to her closet and picked her saris this time. I obviously got new blouses designed in my size and styled it according to my personal style aesthetics.

Hope this post was helpful! Next time in doubt, raid your mom's closet. I am sure you'll find something to your rescue :)

Let me know your feed back about the posts by posting your experience/pictures with the same hash-tag #likemotherlikedaughter

W for Woman Event !!

Now that I have become friends with some fellow Bloggers.. we just need a Reason( read Event :p ) to meet each other.. and This was one such occasion.. I can't believe I made it to this one.. as there was a wedding in the family , college and I had fever that was so bad my hands were shivering by the time I reached the "W for Woman " store..  But this time Srish and Akshita were missing.. and Missed ..

Okay.. so about the event..

" W for Woman " is a Brand known for its commitment Creating Fashion with Passion for the modern Indian woman.
and with their New Spring Summer 2012 Collection they have surely changed my perception of the brand..  I was surprised to see the dresses , Tunics, Pants, Skirts , Bags and Jeggings designed to cater to the taste of a Office goer to a College goer..

" W for Woman " on the Launch of their Spring Summer Collection invited Delhi Bloggers to their DLF, Promenade Store to Style the Best look.. and the Theme was to go "Western" and I went all Cocktail Party with My styling.. the Look was later put on the official  fb Page of the brand and was judge on the basis of the likes.. The style with maximum likes wins the " Best Spring Summer Style " and leading with the popular votes I was chosen as 'W through Social Fashionistas" winner..
Here is the look that I put together for the Contest..

Here are some other pictures from the event..!!

This pic I stole from Japna's Instagram pictures.. This one is my personal Favorite.. *__*

And.. I would like to Thank all you lovely readers .. those who voted for me and those who liked my work .. Thank you again..
