Fringe Benefits: Learn from your Favourite Fashionistas!

The top hair Chameleons From Bollywood to Hollywood are experimenting with their otherwise hairstyles to Fringe a.k.a Bangs. Its the most easy way to change up your look and this Spring Summer I spot a lot of   our favourite Fashionistas sporting the trend and taking it to another level. Love how each of them added a bit of their own style to their Bangs. My personal favourite would be Les Miserables star Anne Hathaway for sporting this sexy, side pixie fringe.

I personally don't recommend Fringe for curly and frizzy hair. It's not just difficult to maintain bangs, but it takes longer than usual for curly hair to grow and you wouldn't want to mess up with something so precious as your tresses, would you? I messed and I messed-up a lot with my hair during my teen years and learned my lesson the hard way. I'd lie, if say,' I don't want Bangs'..I still do, but they don't suit my face type, also my hair texture is thick and curly, but to have hair like Zooey Deschanel's is my dream.. So if you are planning to get Bangs, keep these in mind :

* Your hair texture and length.
* Your face-type

Its funny, but I feel which season you plan to change or cut your hair plays an important role in deciding what kinda Fringe or hairstyle you should go for. In winters I cut my Bangs little shorter( till my nose), so that styling or ironing stays on my Bangs ( because they are curly) and by summer my bangs grow long till my Chin(like they are rite now). I swear by this rule now.. I'd be back with another detailed post on the same. Hope this was helpful..!!

STRANDS Spa and Salon : My Experience and Review

August 14th, I was invited by Strands Spa and Salon located on the 1st Floor , Sector-4 Market in Dwarka. Strands Salon and Span is a Chain of more than 20 branches across Indian and abroad. Their main centre is Located in the City Known for its Beauty and Serenity , Chandigarh and an International branch and Academy in London..Apart from Dwarka Centre,  they have 2 more branches in Delhi -Patel Nagar and GK .

Apart from their Salon and Spa services , Strands is also known for its training Academy. Their Academy has an Aluminium for some Talented Hair-Dressers and Beauty-Experts. Strands is growing leaps and bounds and is so the urge of the brand to outdo the meaning of word "Attractive".

Strands Provide a vast range of beauty and skin services to Spa treatments by trained Artist and Staff with A-class products like Loreal . With Separate Rooms dedicated for Spa , Beauty-Treatments, Make-up , Nails and an Efficient Team of Trained Professionals they believe in Sustaining Quality and Relationships with their Customers.

My Experience:

Knowing, I have never had any sought of Beauty Treatment EVER.They were sweet enough to customize a Package because I am against getting anything that's Called FACIAL to be Done ever on My Face , they gave me a gentle Face Massage and Fruit Cleaning in a special Beauty-Treatment Room with Dim Lighting for Perfect Relaxation . Lady who gave me this treatment was patient enough for all my interference and questions but kept telling me to, Close my Eyes and just Relax..

One Major Reason to Visit there is the CCD Coffee Machine.. 

They welcome their customers with a Smile

* Its Location. Its not a real problem but its located quite far from where I live so travel was quite a hassle.

High on Cocktail..!! #OOTD

Okay.. so I am breaking in between the OOTD's from Rajasthan Fashion Week because I couldn't wait to Post this one any long..I have been thinking of doing, Celebrity Look Inspired Post.. and this post is my First attempt.. I am actually Nervous and Excited.. *__*

Since the time I saw ''Deepika Padukone'' in the Promos of Movie,'' Cocktail''..I wanted to do a"Steal Her Style" post.. and This Post is INSPIRED by "Deepika Padukne's" New look from the same movie..

P.s.- I am wearing absolutely NO MAKEUP ( just a tinch of peach lip balm) in case I am looking Drained or Sick :p I Blame it on the Delhi Heat .. 

To get Her Messy Hair Look.. I tied up my semi dried hair  into a Choti ( braid )over night, after the head-wash and I applied the Magic hair Portion Called "Moroccan Oil" on my hair, before tying them..
Next Morning I woke up with these naturally wavy , messy hair.. To finish the look, just comb the front bangs and use a flat iron to style them ( like I did) and apply some hair Serum ( I applied Moroccan Oil again ) so the hair don't look frizzy or dead..

To those.. who haven't noticed.. I am just wearing one earring.. :p

Divo Event with the Delhi Divas..!!

I know I am a little late..But I have been dying to share this with all you ladies..what fun I had with my fellow bloggers at the "Divo and Healthkart" event last Saturday..............

On my way to the event..I had a tough time figuring out the way though but it was FUN

Delhi Bloggers were invited to share hair-styling tips.. and learn self-hair-styling  .. And thats not it.. the expert hairstylist also told us .. how important it is to know your face-type and have a hair-cut/style according it it.. and that's where most of us go wrong.. we see people with front Bangs.. and want them..later get them and regret coz we look crazy..

See ..what we need to do is.. Know our face-type..I have a face that's between square and diamond..so that makes it huge and i could never cut my hair like Kajol(K3G) when i was a kid.. coz I have crazy ,fizzy ,stubborn ,curly hair..Not even the front bangs in college.. when they were the "IT Thing" you know what I am talking.. rite? so , its very important to have the rite hair-style or cut for your face.. like now i have grown my hair length and have few layers and bangs in the crown area and front.. To tone my cheeks down and make my face look soft and slim.. and trust me it took me years to come to peace with them coz I hate my hair back then.. Confession..Holi , Hair and More..

I have curly hair.. and I grew up envying people with straight , lustrous , shiny hair.. I use to hate my hair throughout school as there wasn't much I could do to style them..
But with time I have come to peace with my self.. and have learnt it the hard way.. after few rebondings , straight therapies and coloring later .. I realized what damage I have done to my hair.. and how I miss my curly hair badly..coz my face is round and straight hair made it look HUGE ..
Last year I came Delhi, to surprise my Family for Holi .. while the new hair roots were growing , I still had straight hair and blonde streaks..

And after a deadly HOLI ( that includes lot of grease , and chemical colors and little gulaal.. ) I was in tears.. coz my HAIR TURNED PINK .. :'( even after applying Olive Oil .. So, my advice would be .. stay away from those bad chemical colors and sprays.. specially if you have chemically treated hair..it can cause hair loss and hair damage..

So.. I had to color them black .. no matter how hard you try Holi  affects your hair and damage them bad.. you can follow the following hair care routine post Holi to make sure that the damage is taken care of -->

After holi,  hair should be washed with care to prevent any ill-effects of the colours.

Massage your hair in a proper manner with olive or castor oil to improve the blood circulation near the hair cuticles.

In addition, make a hair pack by soaking few drops of fenugreek seeds in the curd. Apply this pack thoroughly on your hair, leave it to dry for 30mins and then wash off with a mild shampoo. You can apply egg yolk also to bring that shine and lustre back to your hair..

And generally I follow  this Hair Care Routine..
